Wooden Dinosaur w/ Stand Birthday Party Kit

As you might have read, I hosted a unicorn-themed birthday party for a sweet little 6 year old last weekend. The guests all love to paint, so I designed them wooden unicorns that can be painted and then placed in a stand for display at their homes. They were a big hit!

There were 10 little girls and one little boy - so there was a request for something a little more “boyish”, so I designed him a t-rex on a stand to paint alongside all of the unicorns.

The dinosaur is cut out of 1/8” baltic birch from Woodpeckers on Amazon. I love that I can order this and have it right to my doorstep within a day or two! This particular box comes with 20 sheets of 12” x 24” pieces, and they are 1/8” thick.

This wood is inexpensive (about $3.30 per sheet) and cuts very nicely for projects like this. I also use it for prototypes when I’m working on a new design.
