Spice Rack Makeover - Editable & Printable Labels for a beautiful spice rack!
Seasonings are the spice of life - but when your herbs and spices are hidden throughout the kitchen drawers and cabinets, under ziplock bags, it can make cooking a little stressful. Not to mention, it causes lots of duplicates of bottles and jars because you don’t realize what you have in stock.
I designed these labels last year after realizing that we had no idea what was in our spice cabinet - it was a total mess, things were stacked on top of each other, and there were so many duplicates of herbs and spices! I decided to design a set of labels for all of them - to give a consistent and sleek look to the collection, I wanted to give options where the bottles could be side-lying or upright - so there would be room for many or just a few throughout the year. I love how they turned out! They had held up really well through tons of cooking and even a few spills - so I decided to make them into a digital file for my shop.
Here is some information about what’s included and how to edit and print them…
Since the names for herbs and spices can range from 1 to a few words, I created a template with both one and 2 lines.
The round labels are both 1.5” and 2.5”, so they fit on the tops of most spice jars that you can purchase in stores or on Amazon. These spice jars were purchased on Amazon, I also got another set on sale at Big Lots. I wanted to have the option to put them upright or side-lying in a drawer, so there are 2 labels per spice/herb.
The circular labels are set up to be printed on the Avery circular labels and can be found here:
The rectangular labels are 2.5” x 1” and have been printed on sheets of waterproof label paper - I use this paper quite frequently for labels that are handled a lot - especially those that risk getting wet or having essential oils dripped on them. There is an additional blog post about this particular paper here, where I print on the paper and then test it under running water!
