12 Days of Self Care Worksheet - as seen in Willow and Sage Magazine!
Like many others, I have a love/hate relationship with the holiday season. It’s truly one of my favorite times of year: the cozy atmosphere with family and friends, the wonderful scents of traditional foods and potpourri, and the excitement and anticipation of children everywhere. But the flip side juxtaposes all that seems lovely: stressful to-do lists, events to attend, gifts to buy, and people to entertain, which can take a toll on our bodies and minds. I have prepared for the past few holiday seasonsby arming myself with intentions to be mindful of my stress level and focus on the things that matter, and some years have been more successful than others. I developed a list of easy self-care practices to use and share last year, and I found it helpful. It includes self-care activities that take less than 10 minutes, and also gives ideas for pampering yourself and/or making a few stress-management treats for your friends and family.
If you’re someone who is overwhelmed easily, you don’t have to tackle this entire list. Pick one idea that might work for you and make it your own. If it’s enjoyable, try another, and if you’re feeling generous, share the list or one of the recipes with someone special. Remember that batching some of these recipes will help provide you with grab-and-go gifts for friends, family, and unexpected visitors!
